Bring a game you have already played
PGN is a text format that records a chess game's moves and details. Export a game from your chess service, then import the PGN in Chessalto. Manual PGN import and review are included in the free plan.
Premium adds automatic imports from a connected Chess.com or Lichess username. Chessalto is an independent training app and is not affiliated with either service.
Use the engine to investigate a decision
Stockfish evaluates positions and suggests continuations. Step through the game to compare your move with an alternative and see how the position changes.
Engine analysis is a calculation aid. Evaluations can change as the engine searches deeper. Try to understand the threat or tactical idea behind a suggested move before moving on.
Leave the review with one thing to practice
Start with a moment where you felt uncertain during the game. Work out what you were trying to do, then compare that plan with the reply you missed.
If the mistake was tactical, return to that theme in your training. If it happened in the opening, review the idea behind the line. Choosing one specific point makes the next practice session easier to focus.
